Shasta Magic is an AAU sports program comprised of local athletes striving to become better. Our goal is to help area talent achieve competitive greatness. We strive on teaching fundamentals to athletes grades 3-12. We offer both instructional and elite level programs for both boys and girls. Our instructional programs are similar to going to basketball camp. Two nights a week athletes learn ball handling, passing, shooting, along with offensive and defensive strategies. Its been great seeing the level of athletes' abilities rise through this program. Our elite programs are also known as select teams. These elite teams are comprised of the areas top talent. In the spring of 2006 we are hoping to have 12 elite teams. Elite teams practice 2 to 3 times per week and travel to tournaments to play some of the best talent in the western United States. In terms of Varsity level elite teams, we will take athletes to tournaments where they can play in front of college scouts. Playing AAU basketball is one of the best ways of exposure by colleges. Our staff is comprised of some of the best coaches in the area. Many of our coaches also coach at area schools. We are also proud to have 5 coaches who have coached at the college level. Our biggest attribute is that we love being around and coaching athletes. Come by a practice and check us out!
